Mother’s Day is slated on the 9th of May…just a few weeks away! Given the unique circumstance we are all in, celebrations will have to be indoors amidst intimate family members. But yes! Nothing can stop us from celebrating this very special day dedicated to our SUPERMOM!
Since we’re working/studying at home, why not set aside this whole day for her:
1. BREAKFAST IN BED
Ah…this is an all-time favourite! How can it not be? What better way to start the day by serving Mom with her favourite breakfast in bed. Besides, breakfast is probably the easiest meal to prepare. Add a small note or a flower and breakfast is served, fit for a queen!

2. COUPONS FOR CHORES
Okay let’s face it no one really loves chores. We love Mom but we don’t want to over-commit and underdeliver that she ends up doing the chores we promised to do.
So, create a few coupons Mom can claim during the day. Here are some examples:
– Feed and clean up after the dog
– Water the plants (morning and afternoon)
– Wash the dishes used during breakfast (Again, it is the easiest to prepare so there shouldn’t be too many to clean.)
– Spend 30 minutes to teach her to use social media. Patience is key.
– Introduce her to Netflix. Better yet show her the long list of shows available at her fingertips from western shows to K-Drama to original Tagalog movies.
3. BACKYARD GARDEN PICNIC
For lunch, how about ordering from her favourite restaurant and setting it outside. Like a picnic. Of course, you may need all of your electric fans in the house pointed at her but this at least, gives her a good reason to get some much needed air. The use of aper plates is optional.

4. AROUND THE WORLD
If space is an issue, you can decorate parts of the house matching the origin of your food. You can even opt to include costumes to make it even more fun. Ola! The living area for instance can be adorned with colourful party flags reminiscent of vibrant Spain. Put a rose on your Mom’s ear as you serve her Calamares ala Romana. The dining area can be decorated with photos of Venice and Rome. Perfectly matched with your order of Spaghetti Bolognese. Buon appetito!
5. HOST A VIRTUAL HAPPY HOUR
Chill the wine. Create a meeting. Send the invite.

6. FINE ART PHOTOSHOOT VOUCHER
And to cap off her night, gift her with a photoshoot from I am Abi Fine Art Photography, so that she can be rewarded with lasting memories of her fun and exciting adventure as a Mom. We have a different take on a photoshoot as our photos come out looking like paintings. Which actually fits perfectly as she is the best specimen of a masterpiece – She is her own work of art.
