The pandemic has dramatically changed the learning landscape. However, it created an even greater desire to share our knowledge and expertise in photography with our other co-photographers. At no cost.
We call this FOCUS: A Masterclass in Photography (by Abi Miguel)
The objective of this masterclass is to create a community of budding and advanced photographers and provide them the opportunity to learn new techniques, tips, and other lessons. During one of our sessions, we gave a lucky viewer a free one-on-one tutorial with our Head Photographer and Creative Director, Ms. Abi Miguel.

Joseph is a self-taught photographer whose passion for photography began as a project in high school. It was a project that required him to challenge his creativity and tap his editing skills. During a gap year in university, Joseph worked in a photography studio thereby further building his interest in taking photos. He is currently a product photographer with a background in Theater and Set Design.
"Seeing the works of Ms. Abi on my FB feed encouraged me to pursue photography. This (her photos) is what I want to achieve. I began to experiment with lighting using myself as a model. I only see these kinds of photos internationally...someday I would like to meet her (Ms. Abi). And so I was so thrilled when she announced me as the winner! I couldn't get over it! I've been wanting to meet her for so long!"
"During my one-on-one session with Ms. Abi one thing that I will always remember that she taught me is that you don't need a lot of lighting to produce beautiful output. One lighting is enough. It is the way you position the light."

"My ultimate dream is to be a portrait photographer and my dream photoshoot is a goddess concept in a forest with a running waterfall inside the studio!" With the right attitude and willingness to learn, Joseph is on his way to making his dreams come true.
